When you kill one of the named Raptors in the video you will still get a guaranteed green BUT the hatchling pet is no longer found on the corpse of the Raptor. Instead, it's now found in a "nest" that spawns nearby after you kill it. For example after you kill "Dart" look nearby for "Dart's Nest" and loot the egg for the pet.
