Video gaming is more popular than ever with kids, teenagers, and also adults getting into the gaming world. This has convinced top video game console manufacturers – Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo to improve their consoles in power and affordability to satisfy the gamers’ demands. Microsoft came out swinging early by releasing the Xbox 360 – the first of the seventh generation consoles and successor to the Xbox which sold over 20 million units.

You can hook up a console to any television, standard or high-definition. However, if you want the best gaming experience you need to hook it up to a 1080p resolution television. Either T.V. you hook it up to though, you will be brought into a whole new level of gaming.

In order to make your gaming experience the best it can possibly be, you need to make sure that you set it up the right way. You will need a hybrid component/composite cable for your console to be able to set up on a HDTV, which comes with the upgraded version of the pro and elite but not the regular version.

One of the new features of the Xbox 360 is the ability to turn your console on without pushing the button on the tower itself. Starting your console can be done in two ways, which is on the tower itself or the new feature button in the middle of your controller. Once the console is started, you can browse the Xbox 360′s own user interface, so that you don’t need a DVD inside the optical drive or a built in flash memory. Some of things that can be browsed on the hard disk are pictures, music, video, and games that you may have downloaded, or installed.

There are a number of things as you can see that the user interface does. One of the other things you can do with the interface is check out anything you might have on a USB storage drive or a Microsoft windows pc.

Once you are ready to play, this is where the real fun begins because this is when the console goes to work. Your game play experience will go to the highest level once you are ready, because of the consoles 3.2 GHz clock speed Xenon processor. This processor allows frame rates to be a lot smoother, and makes sure that your loading times are as quick as possible. Loading speeds vary from game to game depending on how the game takes advantage of the processor.

The console uses a number of different graphic and video cards in the console which makes in second to none in that department. The Xbox 360 is capable of displaying really high-end graphics providing that the game uses it to its fullest extent. Some of the capabilities include alpha blending, 4x GSAA, and z-buffering.

Older Xbox 360 versions would heat up real fast and cause your game play to be lower, and even the console not to work. However, the new versions of Microsoft’s latest console uses a jasper motherboard, which does not suffer near as much from heat problems that the older ones did, leading to the red ring error. If you are careful with your console and keep it in good condition you will have a great running system for a long time.
