Classic Game Room HD reviews TOURNAMENT OF LEGENDS for Nintendo Wii from High Voltage and Sega. This unique fighting game from High Voltage is published by Sega for Nintendo Wii. It can be played with the classic controller (Classic Controller Pro used for this review) or the standard Wiimote and nunchuk for motion controls. Numerous fighters await you in a different style of fighting game that stands out from the standard fare. Tournament of Legends is not dependant on special moves and button combos, rather it relies on tactical positioning and unleashing huge magic spells after landing hits on your enemy. A fun game that is a shock to the system because of its uniqueness, give it more than a few minutes when you play it. The control scheme is different and requires some practice, but once mastered you’ll probably enjoy your Tournement of Legends! This CGR review of Tournament of Legends has gameplay from Tournament of Legends on Nintendo Wii showing Tournament of Legends game play in HD.

@MaskedFoxie Right, but in trying to appeal to all audiences, we’re left with yet another generic, boring fighting game =D

@MaskedFoxie Yeah I always go all technical with the actual developers who make these games too, but most people tend to reference the bigger companies because it’s easier for them to remember. This is why I don’t always bother with distinguishing between publishers and developers, but I do acknowledge this in my head. I know the big companies virtually publish all the time, and only make a few games themselves. I am aware, I just can’t bother to always having to mention it.

@Ketorulz
SEGA didn’t make Conduit, House of the Dead Overkill, Madworld, and Space Channel 5.
High Voltage made the Conduit. SEGA published.
Headstrong Games made House of the Dead Overkill. SEGA published.
Platinum Games made Madworld. SEGA published.
United Game Artists made Space Channel 5. SEGA published.
SEGA just publishes a lot… which makes the games sell better.

@SamusX10
I heard it had something to do with SEGA not wanting another “too violent game” to be on the Wii. Basically refusing to publish for High Voltage unless they made it more “appealing to all audiences”.

@frickfrock999
I’m pretty sure tons of other games “reskinned” soul calibur before this… this is slower than Soul Calibur though, so button mashing doesn’t work (or waggle mashing).

@AliEnDesTrOyEr117
It’s supposed to be a joke.
Street Fighter, Virtua Fighter, Soul Calibur, King of Fighters, Guilty Gear, VS Capcom, etc etc etc. Almost all fighting games have sequels.

July 13th, 2010 at 1:13 am
This was better when it was called Gladiator A.D.
July 13th, 2010 at 1:13 am
Woah, did somebody reskin my soul calibur?
July 13th, 2010 at 1:13 am

@Cycemout It blew away a lot of games for me, because of the threatning atmosfeer and cruelty and a great story line with a great intro and cinematics, also i like that there was a open battlefield which most of the games at that time didnt have.
