Classic Game Room HD reviews MAD CATZ Playstation 3 Wireless Gamepad controller for the PS3. This Mad Catz controller is very similar to the Sony brand Sixaxis controller but with some stand out differences. For starters, it runs on 2 AA batteries. It is larger, heavier and has triggers that actually feel like triggers for the L2 and R2 buttons. Overall build quality is high and gameplay is pretty much the same. This Classic Game Room HD hardware review looks closely at the Mad Catz …

this thing is like the last gen wireless controllers. it needs batteries, and it needs a usb attachment on ur console, thus taking up a usb slot, which most ps3 owners only hav 2 of. as usual, i personally am dissapointed. i prefer the 55 dollar sony one which i already hav 4 of

I have never bought a Madcatz product that I was happy with… nor Pelican.

Yeah, and I like the fact that I can sit at the other side of my living room and still use the controller.
I think on the back of the Ps3 controller case, it says it can go up to 75 feet away from the screen.

It does seem quite a bit easier then having wires drag across the floor.

At first I didn’t really care for the whole “wireless” idea, but after trying it, I actually enjoyed it a lot.
P.S. I looked at your channel, and I noticed you like anime. I am a big anime fan as well.

Hm,that’s what I guessed it’s for,I’ve never used a wireless controller but I know it doesn’t turn on when you turn on the console.

Replying to NinjaMuffinMaster,
Yes that is a PS3 controller, I’ve compared my PS2 and PS3 controller side-bye-side, and the analog sticks are actually a bit smaller the the PS3′s analog sticks. And that circle in the middle is what turns the controller on.

I almost started a console war but then figured that it would probably do more harm then good.

MadCatz is pretty much a hit or miss company, I have a MadCatz controller that has worked for years, and still to this day, however I remember buying a same model at the same time as the other one and it broke in a week, I never understood why though… I guess you just have to get lucky with each individual controller or product that you buy, and hope that it won’t break down too quickly… =/

NO six-Axis motion control, No Rumble, no – multi-pressure sensitive buttons , yeah each button tiragnle, circle, x and square all have different degrees of pressure that registers different in the games…PS2 had this as well. Xbox doesn’t and something tells me they copied off the xbox controller for this in every way, which is an instant non-buy in my eyes. Again, No Six-Axis motion, No Rumble, AA Batteries, Bulky, Bad D-pad and non-pressure buttons == Your missing out on 1/3 functionality.

does it have sixaxis tilt sensing technology?
