From the waste of Eastern Plagueland Naxxramas waited for brave warriors in pre-BC to challenge the 40 man communication terror. I don’t know what was harder. The raid or trying to focus people to finish the raid. Pug Naxx probably would not have worked back in the day, but Naxx has changed location to Dragonblight. Now hosting 10 and 25 man raids. Don’t be fooled by the change in numbers in the raid Naxx is still a challenge to the seasoned raider. Even though the numbers may have been reduced the challenge is still there. After you venture through your Heroics to get gear, Naxx will be the next step into your raiding world, like BC’s Karazhan. The following Naxxramas guide will help ease the pain of making it through this raid. Let alone save some money on repair cost ^.^. Starting things off with the prerequisites of making a group in Naxx. Naxx, unlike Karazhan, will not fly with very few healers. I recommend 3 decent healers join you in these encounters. Reason being this raid is more complex then Karazhan, takes more time, and things will “pop up” and you need those quick heals. Next is a usual 2 tanks leaving the rest of the spots for dps. My personal key to a happy group is diversity. There are two reasons why: 1. Its better to mix and match abilities then have some repeat and there are “wasted” spots. 2. No fussing over the lewt. Simple as that. A few notes to add on 25 mans are that you have 25 people instead of 10… Really????!?! Well besides the addition adds on bosses and boost in health the instance is the same. Double your healers and tanks and you will do fine (taking into consideration you know the fights). When choosing healers the requirements will vary depending on how many healers you have. I would suggest at minimum 1200 spellpower and 250 mp5 (3 healers). If you want to be totally safe 1700 spellpower will do it. You will be getting people trapped, attacked, entangled, targeted, the whole nine so being able to have big heals fast is the name of the game in Naxx. I would say that healers are the most important aspect of a raid group heading to Naxx. As for tanks 20k HP unbuffed, 20k armor, 540 defense (immune to crit), and about 40-45% avoidance. Some bosses like Maexxna have a fond tendacy to put the smack down on tanks. Being able to handle most these blows and since most tanks will have to learn dances to tank some bosses, tanks will be second most important in making a raid. Finishing with dps classes, melee 9% hit, puts out 1.5K, caster 17% hit, puts out 1.5K. Once again to be safe I recommend having the dps be 2K+. Dps are the least important in raids for one reason, all they determine is how fast the boss goes down. Unless your trying to beat an enrage timer dps could take their jolly time.
